Qualified for the 2027 World Cup. The UAE youth team faces Saudi Arabia in the Asian semi-finals

The UAE youth handball team achieved a historic achievement by qualifying for the finals of the Handball World Cup scheduled to be held in North Macedonia in 2027, after sweeping the home team and the crowd, China, with a score of 37-28, during the confrontation that brought them together yesterday, Friday, in the quarter-finals of the 19th edition of the Asian Youth Handball Cup, which is currently being held in China.
This achievement came after the distinguished positive results achieved by the team since the beginning of its journey in the Asian Championship, where “Shabab White” confirmed its ability to compete and achieve its aspirations in the tournament.
The youth team had begun its journey in the tournament by defeating Japan with a score of 32-29 in the opening of its participation, and in the second match it defeated the Qatar team 29-24, and tied in the third match with Iran 25-25, before achieving a major victory over India, then tied with the South Korean team with a score of 30-30 in the fifth round, and concluded the preliminary round competitions by defeating its Kuwaiti counterpart with a score of 29-28.
At 4:00 pm today, Saturday, UAE time, the team will play an important confrontation against its Saudi counterpart in the semi-finals, as “Abyad Al-Shabab” aspires to continue its successful journey, reach the final match and achieve a new historical achievement.
The team looks forward to continuing its strong performances to compete for the Asian Championship title, after ensuring its qualification to the 2027 Youth Handball World Cup.
