"Increase the goodness" It reunites a Russian family and gives 4 children a new chance to settle down

Abu Dhabi, July 24 / WAM / The Zayed Al Khair Foundation, in cooperation with the UAE Embassy in the Russian Federation and the Russian Commission for the Rights of the Child, contributed to the reunification of a Russian family, after it enabled four children to return to their mother’s care, after more than four months of separation, in a humanitarian initiative that reflects the UAE’s approach to supporting families and enhancing their stability.
The details of the initiative date back to when the Russian President’s Commissioner for Children’s Rights, Maria Lvova-Belova, informed His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Ambassador to the Russian Federation, about the humanitarian situation of Russian citizen Irina, who was supporting her four children alone in the absence of any family support, and her complete dependence on government aid allocated to children.
The mother’s health conditions and the exacerbation of the family’s suffering as a result of the accumulation of debts owed for housing and basic services led to the children being placed in a social care institution for more than four months.
A state delegation in Moscow coordinated with the Zayed Al Khair Foundation and the Russian Commission for the Rights of the Child, to study the situation and develop an integrated support plan, which included settling the accumulated debts, rehabilitating the housing, furnishing the house, and providing the family’s basic needs, which contributed to creating a safe and stable environment that contributed to the return of the children to their mother.
His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Ateeq Al Falahi, Director General of the Zayed Al Khair Foundation, stressed that this initiative reflects the vision of the UAE to make the human being the focus of development, based on the firm conviction that family stability is the foundation on which prosperous societies are built, and that protecting children and empowering families represent a major priority in its various humanitarian and development efforts.
His Excellency stated that the initiative is of particular importance because it coincides with the Year of the Family, which embodies the UAE’s interest in consolidating the status of the family and supporting its cohesion, stressing that the new strategy of the Zayed Al Khair Foundation is based on developing sustainable humanitarian and development solutions that are not limited to meeting immediate needs, but extend to addressing the causes of challenges, and enabling families to regain their ability to build a more stable and dignified future, through effective partnerships that achieve a long-term development impact.
For his part, His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Ambassador to the Russian Federation, stressed that this initiative embodies the humanitarian values from which the UAE is based in its dealings with various humanitarian issues around the world, and reflects its keenness to extend a helping hand to the most needy families, preserve human dignity, and enhance the stability of societies.
His Excellency added that the constructive cooperation between the UAE mission in Moscow, the Russian Commission for the Rights of the Child, and the Zayed Al Khair Foundation contributed to transforming this humanitarian situation from a story of suffering to a story of hope, stressing that humanitarian partnerships based on trust and cooperation are capable of making a real and sustainable impact on people’s lives.
This initiative embodies the UAE’s approach to consolidating humanitarian work as an integrated development path aimed at protecting and empowering people, enhancing the stability of families and building more cohesive societies.
It also reflects the continuation of the humanitarian giving approach, the foundations of which were laid by Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may God rest his soul,” and its continuation of the wise leadership today through humanitarian and development initiatives that consolidate the UAE’s position as a global model in sustainable humanitarian work.
