Al-Ahly of Egypt faces Barcelona for the Juan Gamper Cup

The Egyptian Al-Ahly Football Club officially announced that the first team will face Barcelona in a friendly match next August 19 at Camp Nou Stadium, as part of the Juan Gamper Cup competitions.
Al-Ahly of Egypt confirmed that it had been agreed with the prestigious Barcelona club to hold a football match between the two clubs on August 19, as part of the 61st edition of the Juan Gamper Cup.
The club said that the match was agreed upon during the visit of a delegation that included a member of the club’s board of directors and the company, Ahmed Hossam Awad, and the company’s executive director, Naira Ali, to Spain.
He explained: “The delegation discussed with Barcelona officials all the arrangements for the match, in a friendly atmosphere that reflects the good relationship between the two clubs.”
This step comes within the framework of Al-Ahly Football Company’s efforts to enhance the club’s global presence and open new horizons for cooperation with the largest clubs and sports institutions in Europe.
