My third presidential term will be much better

US President Donald Trump announced once again, as a joke, that he does not rule out re-election as President of the United States for a third term.

“As with my presidency, the second time is always better. It’s always better. And the third time will be much better,” Trump said at a White House reporters’ reception. Adding: “I’m just kidding.”

Trump previously confirmed his intention to run for president in the 2028 US elections. He wore a red hat that read “Trump 2028,” which sparked laughter from the audience. Then the US President made it clear again that he was not serious.

According to American law, Trump’s second term as president is scheduled to end in January 2029. The Twenty-Second Amendment to the US Constitution, which was approved in 1951, limits the president’s term to only two terms. However, the current US president has repeatedly hinted at the possibility of running for a third term. Steve Bannon, a former prominent political strategist, also touched on this possibility last fall.
