The Lebanese President receives Saqr Ghobash and confirms the depth of brotherly relations with the UAE
Beirut, 27 July / WAM / His Excellency Joseph Aoun, President of the Lebanese Republic, received today at Baabda Palace in Beirut His Excellency Saqr Ghobash, President of the Federal National Council.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency Saqr Ghobash conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him,” and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Presidential Office, to His Excellency the Lebanese President, and their wishes for His Excellency good health and success, and for the brotherly Lebanese people. For continued security, stability and prosperity.
For his part, His Excellency the Lebanese President, His Excellency Saqr Ghobash, conveyed his greetings and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him,” and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Presidential Office, and his wishes for the UAE and its people for further progress. And prosperity, and to maintain security and peace, and to protect it from all evil.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the fraternal relations between the United Arab Emirates and the sisterly Republic of Lebanon, and ways to enhance cooperation in various fields to serve common interests and achieve the aspirations of the two brotherly countries and peoples.
For his part, His Excellency the Lebanese President renewed his condemnation of the Iranian attacks against the UAE, stressing that the continuation of such attacks threatens security and stability in the Gulf countries and the entire region.
His Excellency praised the decision of the UAE to allow its citizens to travel to the Republic of Lebanon, considering that this step reflects the depth of the fraternal relations that bring together the two brotherly countries and peoples, and contributes to enhancing cooperation and openness between them.
