Lana Nusseibeh participates in the consultative meeting of the foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council
ABU DHABI, 28 JULY/WAM/ Her Excellency Lana Nusseibeh, Minister of State, participated via video conference in a consultative meeting with Their Highnesses and Excellencies the Foreign Ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
Their Highnesses and Excellencies the ministers exchanged views on the developments of the current stage, developments in the ongoing negotiations, and the efforts made to push them towards practical understandings that contribute to reducing tension and enhancing an environment of regional security and stability.
The meeting also discussed ways to intensify coordination and consultation between the GCC countries regarding issues related to freedom and safety of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, in a way that guarantees the rights of passage and transit and the flow of ship movement, trade and supplies, in accordance with the provisions of international law, and in a way that preserves the sovereign rights of all countries bordering the waters of the Gulf.
Their Highnesses and Excellencies the ministers stressed the importance of continuing joint work, giving priority to political and diplomatic solutions, and creating favorable conditions for building confidence and reaching solutions acceptable to all parties.
