Dubai Chamber organizes 94 meetings and reviews 42 draft laws within 6 months

The Dubai Chamber of Commerce, one of the three chambers operating under the umbrella of Dubai Chambers, has strengthened its efforts aimed at expanding partnership paths between the public and private sectors during the first half of the current year 2026, in cooperation with business groups and councils operating under the umbrella of the Chamber.

As part of its commitment to strengthening the legal and legislative frameworks that stimulate the growth of the private sector, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with business groups, reviewed 42 laws and draft laws during the first half, with an annual growth of approximately 56%, while the percentage of adoption of private sector recommendations during this period reached 73% compared to 60% during the first half of 2025.
During the first half of this year, the Chamber also held 94 meetings with business groups and business councils, where the priorities of various sectors were discussed, and the most prominent requirements of companies were identified to keep pace with developments and take advantage of emerging opportunities, which contributed to formulating practical recommendations that support the growth of the private sector.

These results reflect the Chamber’s ongoing efforts to enhance cooperation between the public and private sectors, and consolidate the business community’s contribution to developing a more flexible and competitive investment environment in Dubai.

The high rate of adoption of private sector recommendations, and the intensification of constructive meetings with business groups and councils, contribute to improving the approach to partnership and constructive dialogue. We are committed to developing communication channels with the business community in a way that contributes to developing a flexible regulatory environment that stimulates sustainable growth and strengthening Dubai’s global competitiveness.”

The Dubai Chamber of Commerce pointed out that during the first half of this year, it launched three business groups: the Dubai Contracting Business Group, the Vacation Homes Business Group, and the Building and Construction Technology Companies Business Group, with the aim of supporting companies operating in these sectors and enhancing their contribution to economic development, in addition to providing a unified representative umbrella concerned with following up on their interests and issues.

She explained that the business groups are working to expand channels of communication and coordination with government agencies and the private sector, and put forward proposals and recommendations aimed at developing the regulatory environment and supporting the sustainability of the sector’s growth in the long term.
Business groups and councils play an active role in the growth of commercial and economic activities in Dubai, by ensuring the representation of various economic sectors, facilitating constructive dialogue between the business community and relevant government agencies, in addition to supporting efforts to improve the business environment and promote sustainable economic growth for the emirate.
