Japanese stocks fell 3.59%, affected by electronic chip losses

TOKYO, July 28, 2017 – Japan’s Nikkei index fell by more than three percent today, affected by the large losses incurred by the shares of companies linked to the electronic chip sector after US stocks closed lower last night.
The Nikkei fell 3.59 percent to 62,599.14 points, while the broader Topix index fell 2.44 percent to 3,966.87 points.
