Montenegro exempts UAE residents from visa under specific conditions

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro has confirmed that holders of foreign travel documents who have maintained valid residency in the UAE for at least three continuous years are allowed to enter Montenegro via direct flights and stay there for up to 10 days.

The Ministry explained to Emirates Today that holders of foreign travel documents residing in the UAE are allowed to enter Montenegro during the period from May 1 to October 1, 2026, without a visa, provided that they possess a valid travel document, in addition to confirming the reservation of a tourist program.

Montenegro thus joins a number of tourist destinations that grant residents of the UAE facilities to enter its lands for tourism purposes without obtaining a prior visa, whether through a complete visa exemption, obtaining a visa upon arrival, or issuing it electronically, according to conditions that differ from one country to another.

Among the most prominent destinations that allow residents of the UAE, of specific nationalities, to obtain a visa upon arrival or facilitated entry for tourism purposes: Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Uzbekistan.
