Saudi defenses intercept drones targeting oil facilities in the Eastern Province

The Saudi Ministry of Defense announced, on Tuesday, that air defenses intercepted and destroyed a number of drones during the past hours that attempted to target petroleum installations in the eastern region.

The official spokesman for the Ministry of Defense, Major General Turki Al-Maliki, said that these terrorist attempts were launched again from Iraqi territory and were carried out by terrorist militias affiliated with Iran, stressing the Kingdom’s inherent right to defend itself and its capabilities and its reserve of the right to respond at the appropriate time and place.
