The situation in Gaza

The foreign ministers participating in the “Cairo Ministerial Conference to Strengthen the Humanitarian Response in Gaza” confirmed that the humanitarian situation in Gaza is tragic.
They stressed that the Security Council and the international community must take serious steps to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza, encourage the two-state solution, and intensify efforts to rebuild the infrastructure in the Strip.
They stressed the importance of allowing the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) to operate freely in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, and allowing urgent humanitarian aid to enter Gaza without restrictions or conditions.
