The Wall Street Journal reported that an order to deploy a combat brigade from the 82nd Airborne Division, the main rapid reaction force of the US Army, is expected within the next few hours.
According to the network "ABC News"Elements of the command will leave for their specified destination immediately upon issuance of the order.

The White House confirmed on Friday that the US military is capable of neutralizing Khark Island at any time if President Donald Trump issues the order to do so.
According to the New York Times, the Marines (Marines) could carry out an attack on the island, and they are also on their way to the region.
Previous operations of American paratroopers
Thousands of paratroopers from the 82nd Airborne Division were deployed in Poland at the beginning of the year. 2022, just before the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
