Macron’s field visit included His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Medina region, His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Highness Prince Badr bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Culture, Governor of the Royal Commission for AlUla Governorate, and Minister of Commerce. The tour included a visit to the “Diwan” site, which is one of the historical landmarks in the northeastern part of the Hajar region, and is considered a prominent archaeological landmark built to form an open theater between the nature and terrain of Al-Hajar and its components.

The French President in Al-Ula
It is a mountainous area that includes a narrow road, which was carved into a mountain rock called “Al-Diwan” and surrounded by columns and stone walls in a beautiful architectural and engineering style, embodying the nature of architecture in those ancient civilizations.
The tour of the French President and his accompanying delegation also included a number of ancient historical sites and evidence that abound in Al-Ula Governorate, which constitutes a destination for many tourists from different countries, and is under the care of the Royal Commission for Al-Ula Governorate, the Ministry of Culture, the Saudi Tourism Authority, and various relevant authorities. To preserve its components as a human heritage that expresses the nature of AlUla and the reality of the human civilizations that inhabited the region throughout the ages.
