Trump’s first comment on the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime

US President-elect Donald Trump said on Sunday that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad “fled his country” after losing the support of his ally Russia.
He added on his social media platform, Truth Social, that “Assad is gone,” adding, “His protector, Russia, Russia, Russia, headed by Vladimir Putin, no longer cares about protecting him anymore.”
