"Competitiveness and statistics" Participates in the Economic Competitiveness Forum of Countries "cooperation"
Dubai, 8 December / WAM / The Federal Center for Competitiveness and Statistics participated in the first edition of the Economic Competitiveness Forum for the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, which was organized by the State of Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Finance, in cooperation with the World Economic Forum.
The forum brought together representatives from member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council, and aimed to establish a joint framework for improving economic competitiveness, and expanding areas of future cooperation and partnerships to improve the competitiveness of Gulf countries in global reports and indicators, while the Federal Center for Competitiveness and Statistics briefed participants in the forum on the UAE’s methodology in managing… The global competitiveness file, in an institutional manner, within a practical framework organized by the National Competitiveness Committee.
The two main sessions of the forum, entitled “The Future of GCC Competitiveness” and “Global Reporting Methodologies,” focused on the role of Gulf competitiveness centers in formulating strategies and policies that enhance their competitive capabilities.
Participants also discussed the Global Competitiveness Report issued by the World Economic Forum, which evaluates the performance of 141 countries across 103 indicators within 12 main axes, including macroeconomic stability, infrastructure, innovative capacity, and business dynamism.
Her Excellency Hanan Mansour Ahli, Director of the Federal Center for Competitiveness and Statistics, confirmed that participation in the forum reflects the depth of partnerships between the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and the belief of the wise leadership of the UAE in the importance of strengthening efforts aimed at achieving common ambitions and bringing the GCC countries to leadership positions in global competitiveness indicators.
She said that the center worked, within a regulatory framework supervised by the National Competitiveness Committee, to design a motivating, innovative and modern model, through which the competitiveness file can be managed in a professional manner that contributes to bringing about the desired change and achieving future aspirations and visions.
It is noteworthy that the Federal Center for Competitiveness and Statistics monitors more than 22 competitive reports issued by international institutions and organizations, and more than 1,350 global competitive indicators for several vital sectors such as the economy, health, education, gender balance, and others, and works to follow up international trends that enhance the UAE’s competitiveness and ensure an increase in its attractiveness.
