المملكة: Two new stations on the blue track of the Riyadh Metro began operating today
Today, Monday, December 9, the operation of the Ministry of Interior and Al Murabba stations on the blue track of the Riyadh Metro begins, according to the Riyadh Public Transport Account on the “X” platform.
Riyadh metro routes
- The first route (blue line): Olaya – Batha – Al-Hayer axis, with a length of 38 km.
- The second route (red line): King Abdullah Road, 25.3 km long.
- The third route (orange line): Medina Road axis – Prince Saad bin Abdul Rahman I Road, with a length of 40.7 km.
- Fourth track (yellow line): King Khalid International Airport Road axis, 29.6 km long.
- Fifth Track (Green Line): King Abdulaziz Road axis, 12.9 km long.
- The sixth route (purple line): The axis of Abdul Rahman bin Awf Road – Sheikh Hassan bin Hussein bin Ali Road, with a length of 30 km.

Riyadh metro equipment
The Riyadh Metro runs on 6 tracks with a length of 176 km covering the entire city of Riyadh, and consists of 185 trains with 448 cars with a modern design. Its capacity is 16 million passengers per day.
The vehicles and stations are equipped with advanced monitoring systems. The train runs on electric power using the “automated train without a driver” system. It includes 55 stations, including 4 main stations implemented with unique urban designs.
