المملكة: “Education” adopts an “individualized program” to serve students with disabilities


Adopted For male and female students with disabilities, which includes educational, supportive, and transitional services according to the results of the diagnosis and assessment of need.

The Ministry explained that the program is being prepared with the participation of a multidisciplinary team along with the student’s family and relevant authorities. This partnership ensures the identification of appropriate educational objectives and required services, while establishing precise mechanisms to implement them and monitor their results.

Support Services

The program is subject to periodic review to keep pace with the development of the student’s level; It includes identifying “supportive services” that enhance his ability to learn and participate, such as communication services, psychological and social support, occupational and movement therapy, and assistive technologies.

The program also includes “transitional services” that pave the student’s way for a smooth transition between educational stages, and help him in the future in the stages of post-secondary education, or vocational training and employment, leading to independent living and community participation.

Integration of Efforts

The Ministry of Education confirmed that this program represents the main focus of work. In programs for people with disabilities, it ensures the integration of the efforts of the school, the family, and specialists, and contributes directly to Raising the quality of education and achieving the goals of empowerment and comprehensive integration.
