They said that the donor committee and the screening committee will continue to receive applications from candidates from various parts of the world until the end of this December, through the website designated for receiving applications, confirming the presence of a technical and technical support team that enhances the speed and quality of uploading the candidates’ files in preparation for presenting them to the specialized screening committees.
This came during the meeting held by the awarding committee and the screening committee for the field of the Khalifa International Award for Early Education, yesterday, remotely, in the presence of Professor Stephen Barnett, founding director of the National Institute for Early Education Research at Rutgers University in the United States of America, head of the awarding committee, and Professor Iram Siraj, professor of development. and Child Education at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom, Professor Nirmala Rao from the University of Hong Kong, and Professor Jana Fleming, Director of the Department of Early Childhood Development at the Salama Bint Hamdan Al Foundation. Nahyan, Dr. Meera Al Kaabi, Advisor to the Director General of the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority, Head of Academic Affairs at the National Academy for Childhood Development, Dr. Philip Quirky, former Executive Dean of Education and General Studies at the Higher Colleges of Technology, and Dr. Bushra Qaddoura, Strategic Advisor in the field of early childhood education and care at the Authority. Sharjah Special Education, Sarah Rogers, CEO of Quest Direct Professional Services, Dr. Rachel Takriti, Professor of Early Childhood Education at the United Arab Emirates University, and Dr. Louay Jaroudi, field advisor for the Khalifa International Award for Early Education.
Amal Al-Afifi, Secretary General of the Khalifa Educational Award, said that the members of the awarding committee and the screening committee were briefed during the meeting on the work that took place during the last period related to expanding the awareness base in this field and the applied workshops that were implemented during the current session, in addition to the efforts of the screening committee regarding By sorting the files of the candidates that were submitted for the award during the last period.
She pointed out that the meeting discussed the award’s efforts during its participation in the Early Childhood Development Exhibition held recently in Abu Dhabi, as well as participation in the Global Educational Solutions Exhibition “GESS” held recently in Dubai, in addition to reviewing what was sorted from the files of the candidates from various parts of the world. .

Al-Afifi stressed that the award represents a qualitative leap in the care and empowerment of early childhood locally, regionally and internationally, and translates the directives of the wise leadership regarding caring for this vital segment of society, making them leaders for the future.
For his part, Dr. Stephen Barnett stressed the importance of the meeting, during which members of the two committees exchanged experiences and ideas regarding the screening processes and the associated review of research papers for projects and initiatives submitted in the categories of research, studies, programs, curricula, methodologies, and teaching methods.

He pointed out that the meeting discussed the observations of the members of the two committees at this stage related to sorting the files according to the best practices in transparency and objectivity, which translates the message and objectives of the Khalifa Educational Award from which this field emerges, which is to spread the culture of excellence worldwide with regard to early childhood care and empower it to keep pace with the future. .
