There seem to be moments of anticipation; Knowing the new star of the secret agent film series “James Bond” is almost over, after one of the most prominent Hollywood stars hinted that he will be the next star to play the role of “007”, after a series of rumors that talked about him being chosen as the hero of the famous character.

It seems that the international star, Idris Elba, wanted to delve more into fueling rumors about his choice. To be the hero of the “James Bond” series in its coming years, after he posted a funny video while he was at the “Madame Tussauds” Museum in London, where he appeared interacting in a playful way with wax statues of previous James Bond characters, while the famous movie music played in the background.

Idris Elba stood at the end of the row of stars who embodied the character of the secret agent “007”, before the camera focused on him, and he appeared smiling as if he wanted to confirm something.

If his choice is confirmed, the star Idris Elba will succeed the British star Daniel Craig, who starred in five films in the “James Bond” series, between the years: 2006 and 2021, before the series stopped in search of a worthy story and a different hero.

In the same context, the famous British writer and director, Steven Knight, is close to finishing writing the story, screenplay, and dialogue for the twenty-sixth part of the “James Bond” series, after it was chosen by the companies: “Pascal Pictures” and “Heyday Films,” which are producing the film for “Amazon MGM Studios.”

Steven Knight is holding intensive working sessions with Canadian director Denis Villeneuve, to prepare for the start of filming the film, whose title, story and heroes will not be revealed until the completion of filming, which is scheduled to begin in April 2026, with the film being shown in May 2027.

Last October, “Variety International” magazine published a report on the “James Bond” characters, and presented a set of many possibilities for a group of the most prominent Hollywood stars to play the role of “Secret Agent 007”, as it nominated stars such as: Tom Holland, Harris Dixon, Jacob Elordi, and Taylor Johnson.

The “magazine” also reviewed the casting opportunities for: Callum Turner, Aaron Beier, Damson Idris, Jonathan Bailey, and Theo James. The name of Henry Cavill, the hero of the movie “Superman,” also came back into circulation again, after he had previously auditioned for the role of “Bond” in the movie “Casino Royale,” and he was admired by the producers, but his young age at the time prevented him from being selected, so the role later went to Daniel Craig.

It seems that the choice of “Amazon MGM Studios” for the star Idris Elba, as much as it will be a surprise to all the nominated actors, will be wonderful for the audience.
