Launching of the 15th International Conference on Hydrogen Production at the University of Sharjah

Sharjah, December 10 / WAM / Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah, the University organized the 15th International Conference on Hydrogen Production, which aims to provide opportunities for researchers, scientists, academics, industry specialists and professionals working in the field of hydrogen, to promote the use of hydrogen as a source. A research team from the University of Sharjah, the American University of Sharjah, and the Sharjah National Oil Corporation gave a presentation on the stages of preparing the project entitled: “New methods for producing and transporting hydrogen: a sustainable source of clean and renewable energy.”
The conference activities witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Universities of Sharjah and Natural Resources and Life Sciences in the Austrian capital, Vienna, with the aim of cooperating in developing sustainable energy systems, managing waste towards a circular economy, and producing green chemicals and fuel from renewable sources and waste materials, as the terms of the agreement stipulate: That the two parties cooperate with each other in exchanging academic experiences from faculty and student members, and a number of academic and research fields and activities under the joint supervision of the two universities, in addition to working to organize joint international scientific conferences and seminars, training courses, and publishing articles. The agreement was signed by the University of Sharjah, its director, Dr. Hamid Majoul Al Nuaimi, and by the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, its director, Eva Sholev-Steindel.
