Live: FIFA votes on Saudi Arabia’s victory in hosting the 2034 World Cup

Today, Wednesday, the world awaits the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) meeting, which is currently underway to vote on the host countries for the FIFA World Cup finals.
As 211 national federations meet to vote on Spain, Morocco, and Portugal winning to host the 2030 World Cup, and Saudi Arabia winning hosting the 2034 World Cup, making history for Saudi Arabia as the first country in the history of the World Cup to host 48 teams alone at once, given that the 2026 edition will be held in the United States, Mexico, and Canada. The 2030 edition will be held in Spain, Morocco and Portugal.

FIFA gave the Saudi file an unprecedented high rating in the history of the bids of countries developed to host the World Cup since its inception in 1930, where it received a score of 4.18 out of 5, describing the risks as moderate, while describing the 2026 and 2030 World Cup files as “high risk” and an evaluation score of less than The Saudi file.
