The percentage of Saudis who have coverage for their basic health expenses during the year 2024 reached 100%.
While the coverage rate for the entire population of the Kingdom reached 95.9%.

Patient satisfaction rate

Increasing the percentage of patient satisfaction with the Ministry of Health’s services in the first half of 2024 to 82.45%, after it was 81.42% in 2023.
The percentage of patient satisfaction with hospital services also increased from 72.7% in 2018, to reach 78.3% in the first half of 2024.

In 2023, more than 14.3 million emergency patients visited Ministry of Health hospitals, of which 86.5% were Saudis.
The number of Saudi male visitors reached 6.3 million, while Saudi females visited more than 6 million.
While more than 1.9 million foreigners visited the Ministry’s hospitals for medical emergencies during the year 2023.

In December 2024, the Ministry of Health revealed that it had achieved a qualitative leap in services health care household.

The number of beds in the Ministry of Health hospitals reached 45,470, representing 58% of the total beds in the Kingdom.
