European stock indices fall after interest rate cuts
European stocks closed lower at the end of today’s trading, after the European Central Bank cut interest rates.
The European Union ended a volatile session down by 0.1 percent, despite the rise in bank shares that are highly sensitive to interest rates in the euro zone by 0.3 percent.

The largest losses among sectors were recorded on the Stoxx index, as it fell by 1.7 percent, while the luxury goods sector rose 0.9 percent.

Danish stocks fell by 0.5 percent, while stocks in Switzerland rose by 0.3 percent.
The European Central Bank lowered interest rates for the fourth time this year as concerns about inflation eased, by 25 basis points.
