The Jordanian King: Ensuring Syria’s security and stability will enhance the security of the region

Jordanian King Abdullah II stressed that ensuring Syria’s security and stability will enhance the security and stability of the region, noting the need to coordinate international efforts in this regard.

 

This came during a phone call. The Jordanian King received, today, Friday, from Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, during which developments in the region were discussed, especially the situation in Syria. 

The King stressed Abdullah II – according to the Royal Court statement – stressed that the first step to stopping the escalation in the region is the immediate cessation of the Israeli war on Gaza.

In this context, the Jordanian King called for doubling humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, and ensuring its arrival without objection or delay. The two sides also stressed the importance of continuing efforts to ensure the success of the ceasefire in Lebanon.
