European natural gas prices recorded their largest weekly decline this year.
The mild weather eased concerns about the risks, while standard futures contracts fell by as much as 4.2% on Friday.

Gas prices in Europe

It reached its lowest level in five weeks, and has fallen about 14% so far this month, according to Bloomberg News.
It is expected to rise more than usual in northwestern Europe next week and at the end of the month.

This comes as traders liquidate their positions ahead of the holiday season.

Natural gas flows

At the same time, liquefied natural gas flows continue strongly, and US supplies are expected to increase further.
This comes as exports from Venture Global LNG’s second export terminal in Louisiana are about to begin.
