The situation in Syria
He stressed that the priority must be to ensure the safety of the Syrian people, while supporting a political transition process that leads to the formation of a reliable, comprehensive, and non-sectarian governance system that represents all segments of the Syrian people.
The G7 leaders unanimously agreed on the importance of respecting Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity during the political transition and in the future, in order to ensure the stability of the country and achieve the aspirations of the Syrian people.
