His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, participated in the meeting of foreign ministers of the Arab Liaison Committee on Syria, which was held yesterday in Aqaba, where an invitation was extended to the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Bahrain, “the current president of the Arab Summit,” and the State of Qatar, to attend alongside him. Members of the Liaison Committee, which includes Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Lebanon, Egypt, and the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States.
The foreign ministers of the member states of the Arab Ministerial Liaison Committee on Syria affirmed their support for an inclusive (Syrian-Syrian) political transitional process in which all Syrian political and social forces are represented, including women, youth and civil society, and sponsored by the United Nations and the Arab League.
