7 overhead lines for transmitting electrical power were out of service due to falling shrapnel

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy announced that 7 overhead lines for transmitting electrical energy were out of service in a number of regions of the country, as a result of being damaged by falling shrapnel, resulting from response operations carried out by air defences, which led to a partial disconnection from some areas in the country, and work is underway to restore electrical power as quickly as possible.
The Ministry explained that the specialized technical teams will begin their work as soon as the situation is secured, in coordination with the security authorities, to begin assessing the damage, in preparation for repairing the damaged lines in accordance with the highest standards of security and safety, stressing that the emergency teams are working around the clock to respond to any emergency on the electrical network and ensure continuity of service. Hayat called on citizens and residents to be accurate and obtain information from official sources only, stressing that she will continue to provide public opinion with any developments immediately, asking God Almighty to protect Kuwait and its people from all harm, and to perpetuate the blessing of security, safety and stability in our dear homeland.
