Banning NewGenes from performing and freezing their album sales

Reports revealed that NewGenes, a South Korean K-Pop band, was banned from appearing at award ceremonies and album sales were frozen.

NewGenes announced that it had decided to terminate its contract with the company that produced its work, Adore, accusing it of “mistreatment.”
The member of the hugely popular band, Hani, mentioned that the band “was subjected to mistreatment,” and continued: “Not only toward us, but toward our work team as well.”

The need to apologize

The band also stated that it suffered “deliberate miscommunication and manipulation in several areas.”
NewGenes issued a final warning to the Hype Group, to which Adore belongs, that it would terminate its contract with it unless it responded to its demands.
“NewGenes” asked “Hype” to apologize for a comment made by an official in the group, whom the band accuses of harassment.
