“The Walking Dead: Dead City” in its third season…complex relationships and new beginnings

 

After the great success achieved by the first and second seasons of the American horror and drama series “The Walking Dead: Dead City”, the “Starz Play” platform announced the start of showing the third season of it, to meet the aspirations of the broad audience in the Arab world, the Middle East, and North Africa alike.

In the third season of the series, whose events take place several years after the end of the original series, the two former opponents, “Maggie” and “Negan,” continue their journey in the city of Manhattan, which is no longer what it was, and does not resemble the city known to the whole world. It has changed in all its details, and has become a harsh environment, governed by conflicts and dangers, and survival in it has become dependent on trust, as much as it depends on strength.

Unsecured alliance:

After they appeared, in previous seasons, as two bitter rivals who lived through a great conflict, and each of them witnessed successive losses, the journey of “Maggie” and “Negan” this season is witnessing a radical transformation, as they agree together in an attempt to build the first stable community in the city of Manhattan, to be the first stable community in the collapsed world.

The duo’s task will not be easy at all; The painful past is still present in all its details, so building this society is a complex test, close to impossible.

With the successive threats that appear in the city, Maggie and Negan find themselves forced to make fateful decisions that test their fragile alliance, and successive difficult circumstances put them before real tests of their ability to overcome past differences and old wounds. The great challenges are not limited to confronting the “walking dead,” but rather extend to a bitter past that each of them carries toward the other.

The new season, full of events and excitement, witnesses the return of a large number of stars, including: Lauren Cohan in the role of “Maggie”, Jeffrey Dean Morgan in the role of “Negan”, along with Gaius Charles in the role of “Burley Armstrong”, Zeljko Ivanek in the role of “The Croat”, Mahina Anne-Marie Napoleon in the role of “Jenny”, Karina Ortiz in the role of “Amaya”, Jonathan Higginbotham in the role of “Tomaso”, and Logan Kim in The role of “Herschel”, and Lisa Emery in the role of “The Dhamma”.

The events of this season do not stop in Manhattan. Rather, the series reviews the conflicts in the completely destroyed streets of New York, where the survivors of the disaster live alongside the “walking dead.” The two sides share the city’s streets, with each side controlling a part of it, and complex relationships arise between them that form the essence of the story.

The series is shown in eight episodes, one episode per week, and new followers can watch the previous two seasons, before starting the new season, so that the details of the story become clear to them, and to be able to understand its events, and live all its moments full of suspense and horror.
