The Minister of Foreign Affairs confirms Egypt’s continued support for United Nations activities to enhance the humanitarian response in the Middle East

Dr. Badr Abdel Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriate Affairs, affirmed Egypt’s continued support for the activities of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, to enhance the effective response to crises in the Middle East.

Minister Abdel Aty congratulated the UN official on assuming his new position, and stressed Minister Abdel Aty stressed Egypt’s continued support for the activities of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs to enhance the effective response to crises in the Middle East, noting that Egypt continues to carry out its humanitarian role in the region. Minister Abdel Aty briefed the UN official on Egypt’s efforts to support the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, Sudan and Lebanon, reviewing the results of the Cairo Ministerial Conference to enhance the humanitarian response in Gaza, which was held in Cairo on December 2. He praised the success of the conference in mobilizing new financial pledges for international organizations working in the Gaza Strip, stressing the importance of following up and implementing the financial pledges that were announced to provide the urgent humanitarian needs of the Gaza Strip.
