The patient was suffering from a rare condition represented by complete reversal of the viscera in the chest and abdomen, after a surgical intervention that took 90 minutes.
The Qassim Health Council explained that the patient arrived at the center after suffering for a long time with excessive obesity and the failure of attempts to lose weight through non-surgical methods.
Gastric sleeve surgery
After conducting the necessary medical examinations, it was found that there was a complete reversal of the viscera, which is a rare condition, with an incidence rate of one in every 20,000 people.
The gathering reported that the medical team, led by obesity surgery consultant Dr. Mana Al-Bulaihi and Dr. Muhammad Abdel-Ghani Al-Moaz, succeeded in performing a laparoscopic gastric sleeve operation.
The operation was performed under anesthesia successfully, and the patient was then transferred to the inpatient department, where he underwent close follow-up by the medical, nursing and rehabilitation staff, which contributed to the rapid improvement of his health condition and the recovery of his health.

The association confirmed that the patient left the hospital after recovering without any significant complications, and follow-up appointments were scheduled in outpatient clinics to complete the necessary drug treatment and follow-up.
