المملكة: Jeddah.. A factory for the production of counterfeit “molasses” was seized inside a residential site

The expanded field campaign carried out by the Jeddah Governorate Municipality resulted in the seizure of 7 tons of counterfeit “molasses” inside a residential site that was illegally exploited to manufacture “molasses” with mixtures bearing famous trade names, in addition to the seizure of raw materials of unknown origin used in manufacturing processes.

The secretariat explained that the supervisory teams affiliated with the General Administration for Monitoring and Addressing Negative Phenomena continued their field efforts with precision and professionalism, as they were able to monitor 28 envelopes bearing well-known trade names.
All seized items were confiscated and destroyed as part of strict regulatory measures aimed at protecting consumers from counterfeit products.

Commercial fraud

The campaign was implemented in joint coordination with the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, the Ministry of Commerce, the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property, and the security authorities, within the framework of fruitful cooperation between the concerned authorities to detect the violating site and confiscate invalid products, as part of the efforts made to protect markets from commercial fraud and preserve intellectual property rights. .

The Jeddah Municipality confirmed the continuation of its field efforts to monitor violations and address negative phenomena in various neighborhoods, stressing the implementation of regular procedures against violators.
The secretariat called on citizens and residents to cooperate with it by reporting any suspicious activities or violations, in order to preserve public health and ensure the safety of the community and local markets.
