Cairo Steps artistic mix in 3 concerts at the Cairo and Alexandria Opera Houses
Egyptian culture begins its Christmas and New Year celebrations through the Opera House, headed by Dr. Lamia Zayed, which organizes 3 nights at 8 pm on Thursday and Friday, December 19 and 20, 2024, at the Grand Theater of the Cairo Opera, and on Saturday evening, December 21, at the Sayed Darwish Theater “Alexandria Opera” For the Egyptian-German band Cairo Steps, led by the Bassem Darwish Foundation, hosting vocalist Ihab Younes and artist Hany Adel, who is participating in two Cairo Opera concerts.
The team has prepared a collection of its own works that blend jazz music. It is noteworthy that Cairo Steps is an international Sufi jazz group consisting of Egyptian and German musicians. It was founded in 2002 in cooperation between the Egyptian oud player and musician Bassem Darwish and the German pianist and composer Matthijs Frey. It succeeded in achieving a broad international fan base and gained fame. Widespread within Egypt through his concerts at the Egyptian Opera House since 2009.
