Cyclone Chido in Mozambique destroys homes and kills 34 people

At least 34 people have been killed in Mozambique as a result of Cyclone Chido, the Mozambican Institute for Risk and Disaster Management announced today.
The institute explained that the cyclone that swept through the Mayotte archipelago last Saturday struck Cabo Delgado province in Mozambique, killing 28 people, adding that 3 others died in Nampula province and 3 in Niassa province.

Severe destruction of all facilities

The province of Cabo Delgado, inhabited by about two million people, was the first area to suffer major damage, as the hurricane partially or completely destroyed many homes, schools and health facilities. In Pemba, many homeless people took refuge in shelters, while others began trying to rebuild what was left of their homes. Destroyer.
