"Islamization of Dubai" Launch a program "Winter grass" For girls
Dubai, December 17 / WAM / The Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai launched the activities of the “Winter Grass” program, intended for girls aged 7 to 15 years, which aims to promote Islamic and human values and develop morals and national identity.
The program, which coincides with the students’ winter vacation, includes various activities held in a number of the department’s community centers and cultural centers, such as the Al-Mizhar Islamic Cultural Center, the Umm Al-Sheif Islamic Cultural Center, the Nad Al Sheba Center for Women, the Maktoum Centers for the Holy Qur’an and its Sciences in Nad Al Sheba 4 and Al Warqaa 1, and the Center Mohammed bin Rashid Islamic Culture, Hatta Community Center and Al Nahda Association in Al Lisaili.
The program launch events at the Umm Al Sheif Islamic Cultural Center were attended by His Excellency Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Director General of the Department, and Emirati astronauts Mohammed Al Mulla and Noura Al Matroushi.
The pioneers reviewed their inspiring experiences in the field of space exploration, stressing the importance of ambition and the pursuit of scientific and cognitive achievements, which left a profound impact on the attendees, especially the participating girls.
Al Muhairi stressed that “Winter Plants” reflects the department’s commitment to achieving the goals of the “Dubai Social Agenda 33”, especially with regard to strengthening family and community ties and supporting national identity, adding that the presence of the Emirati astronauts embodies the values of ambition and creativity that the department seeks to instill in the new generation and send With the message that there are no limits to achievement.
He pointed out that “Winter Plants” represents an educational and pedagogical platform that combines the promotion of Islamic values, the inculcation of the Emirati heritage, which includes the customs, traditions and values on which the UAE was built, and the development of creative skills, which contributes to preparing a conscious and distinguished generation capable of achieving its future aspirations linked to its cultural roots.
