Shokoko on the documentary screen.. soon

The Documentary Channel announced the production of a documentary film about the late artist “Mahmoud Shokoko” and showing it on the “Documentary” Channel. Coming soon.
The film documents the experience of the Egyptian artist “Mahmoud Shokoko” The most important stages of his artistic career, in addition to the major transformations that his life witnessed, starting with his work with his father in the carpentry workshop in the Darb Al-Ahmar neighborhood in Cairo, then moving on to his entry into the world of art and singing, and ending with his widespread fame, which he achieved on stage and under the lights of cinema.
The film also reveals the prominent role played by “Shoko” In developing the popular monologue and reviving the art of “Araguz”, it also reviews his national contribution in many important historical stages, whether in confronting the British occupation or in supporting the Egyptian war effort, up to the moment he was honored by the late President Mohamed Anwar Sadat in appreciation of his artistic contributions. p>
It is noteworthy that Shokoko died on February 21, 1985 at the age of 73 after a long struggle with illness.
