A Japanese missile mission failed minutes after launch

The Japanese company Space One said that it canceled the flight of its small rocket, Kairos, shortly after its launch yesterday, ending the second attempt in nine months, becoming the first company in the country to send a satellite into space.

This is the latest setback in a series of failures in rocket development in Japan, which wants to be a space transportation hub in Asia, as Tokyo hopes that the value of the space sector will reach eight trillion yen ($52 billion).

The company stated in an email sent to journalists that it had ended the second flight of the Kairos missile, which lasted only 10 minutes, after it became clear that “achieving its mission had become difficult.”
