المملكة: With lucrative salaries…an initiative by the Union of Chambers and “Ikhaa” to employ 100 orphans
The Federation of Saudi Chambers and the Charitable Foundation for Orphan Care “Ekhaa” announced the launch of the “Wastef” initiative, which aims to employ 100 orphan beneficiaries in private sector facilities.
The signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement for the initiative took place in Riyadh in the presence of the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Ekhaa Foundation, M. Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, and President of the Federation of Saudi Chambers, Hassan bin Mujab Al-Huwaizi, during the organization’s annual ceremony.
Improving the services provided to beneficiaries
The agreement was signed by the Federation, Chairman of the National Committee for Social Responsibility, Fayez Al-Maliki, and by the Foundation’s CEO, Dr. Muhammad Al-Eid.
This step is consistent with the role of the Federation of Saudi Chambers as the official representative of the business sector in developing social responsibility in the private sector.
Based on the strategic plan of the “Ekhaa” Foundation to improve the services provided to the beneficiaries, meet their needs, empower them, and achieve independence and self-sufficiency for them, through a system of programs and initiatives that contribute to moving them from pastoralism to productivity.
Integrating orphans into the labor market
The initiative aims to empower orphans and integrate them into the labor market to reach financial independence and self-reliance.
The two parties will work to facilitate the orphans’ access to appropriate jobs with lucrative salaries that contribute to their self-reliance and financial independence.
This includes areas of new employment, students in school, and employees with low salaries at the level of “Ekhaa” Foundation branches in the regions of the Kingdom.
It is noteworthy that the Federation of Saudi Chambers announced last November the formation of a national committee for social responsibility, which represents an important platform for developing social responsibility in the private sector.
