20 Emirati publishing houses participate in the Jeddah Book Fair 2024
Jeddah, December 19 / WAM / More than 20 Emirati publishing houses participated in the Jeddah Book Fair 2024, which is organized by the Literary, Publishing and Translation Authority in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the Jeddah Superdome and continues until the 21st of this December, with the participation of more than 1,000 publishers from 22 countries.
Emirati publishing houses presented distinguished publications covering a wide range of fields, including literature, science, general knowledge, children’s and young adult literature, and comic stories, making them the focus of attention of audiences from all segments.
The presence of a number of Emirati writers at the exhibition added value, as they signed their books on the designated platform, which gave them the opportunity to communicate directly with their readers.
Emirati publishing houses unanimously agreed that the Jeddah Book Fair is one of the most important Arab fairs in terms of public demand and diversity of interests, especially in the fields of novels, suspense, crime, and self-development.
The exhibition is part of the “Book Fairs” initiative, one of the strategic initiatives of the Saudi Literature, Publishing and Translation Authority, which aims to expand the scope of these events in the Kingdom. This year, the exhibition included more than 450 pavilions that presented everything new in the world of publishing, in addition to a cultural program filled with more than 100 Various effectiveness.
The activities included lectures, seminars and workshops under the supervision of 170 specialists from inside and outside the Kingdom, in addition to an area dedicated to children that included educational and interactive activities in writing, authorship and animation making.
It is noteworthy that the Jeddah Book Fair is the third book fair organized by the Authority during the year 2024 after the Riyadh International Book Fair and the Medina Fair.
