The artist Ihab Tawfiq revealed the true background of his famous song “Begging for Me,” noting that it was inspired by a real-life love story that he personally lived. He explained that the song came as a result of an emotional experience full of problems that ended painfully.

"Tawfiq" said: During his guest appearance on the program “With You, Mona El-Shazly”, on Thursday evening, broadcast on the ON screen, with the journalist Mona El-Shazly, he said that there was a love story that went through many difficulties, and ended unexpectedly and very badly. The song expresses that stage.

He added that the lyrics of the song, such as “Jay after what,” were a direct expression of his feelings at the time after the relationship ended. Pointing out that he did not care if the person concerned with the story knew that he was the one who was referring to the song because the topic was completely over for him. Adding that sometimes the story has reached an irreversible end. When asked if the song was just a poet’s imagination and a singer’s performance, Ihab confirmed that the song came from the heart of reality.
