Dubai Health Establishes a culture of healthy eating patterns among students and teachers
The Dubai Health Authority stressed the importance of establishing the culture and principles of healthy eating patterns among students, teachers, parents and school administrations, with the aim of enhancing the quality of life, especially at the school community level.
Advisor to the Director General of the Dubai Health Authority and Director of the Public Health Protection Department at the Authority, Dr. Ramadan Al Balushi, said that the Authority gives the health and safety of students its utmost importance, and places them at the forefront of its priorities and the goals of its preventive plans and programs, out of its belief in the importance of raising the level of health fitness and achieving mental and physical balance. , for all male and female students, enabling them to raise the level of academic and cognitive achievement.
He added during the interactive forum for private schools in the Emirate of Dubai, which was held recently with the participation of officials, specialists, and school nutrition and health experts, in addition to international participation from Germany, Finland, Canada and Argentina, that the forum is an important link in an important series to enhance the prevention system and quality of life in the Emirate of Dubai in general, and in Schools specifically.
He continued that the forum witnessed the participation of more than 100 private schools in Dubai, and was attended by 200 male and female teachers, doctors and nurses, in addition to more than 400 students and parents. The evening sessions of the forum also witnessed wide participation from community members, which enriched the open dialogues and discussions with more ideas. and insights into school health.
He explained that the forum was distinguished by various and attractive events and activities, the most prominent of which were: the JUMP Campus Metaverse platform, where participants explored classrooms using virtual reality glasses, in addition to the innovative educational units presented by VEGEMI, which focused on promoting healthy eating habits.
The forum also included a distinctive set of activities designed to meet the needs of different groups of parents and children, including: interactive pavilions, where the latest educational technologies and best practices for improving general nutrition for children in schools were presented, in addition to open discussion panels between school leaders and international speakers, which took place About the importance of modern technologies and their role in developing knowledge of healthy dietary patterns in schools, as well as training sessions and refining experiences, which were based on the application of innovative health and nutritional curricula, and a large group of teachers, doctors, nurses, and international specialists participated.
