Pictures.. The International Reading Forum launches with a wide cultural presence in Riyadh

The International Reading Forum kicked off today in the conference hall of the King Abdullah Financial Center in Riyadh, in the presence of a large number of elite intellectuals and reading lovers.
On its first day, the forum witnessed various activities that began with rich dialogue sessions, where Dr. Saad Al-Bazai opened with a session entitled “Creating reading initiatives with a sustainable impact.”

This was followed by a dialogue on “Historical Reading,” presented by Professor Qasim Al-Ruwais, while Dr. Muhammad Al-Khalidi spoke in a session entitled “Reading: The Inexhaustible Source,” stressing the importance of reading as a starting point for cultural and intellectual development.
The forum witnessed wide interaction from attendees who participated in various workshops presented by an elite group of local, regional and international speakers.
The events were organized across four main regions that dealt with different areas of developing a culture of reading, including a book exchange platform, reading clubs, and other distinctive events aimed at enriching the reading experience of participants.

Promoting a culture of reading

The forum seeks to promote the culture of reading and establish it as a basic societal value, with a focus on highlighting Saudi, Arab and international talents.
It also aims to expand the horizons of thought and enhance awareness through innovative activities targeting different age groups and intellectual orientations, in an environment that celebrates creativity and diversity.
The forum will continue until December 21, as it continues to provide distinguished events that highlight the role of reading in building societies and promoting cultural dialogue.
