The Head of State awards the Minister of Transport of South Africa "Zayed II Medal, First Class"
Abu Dhabi, December 20 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, awarded Her Excellency Barbara Creasy, South African Minister of Transport and former Minister of Forests, Fisheries and Environment, the “Zayed II Medal, First Class”, in appreciation For her prominent contributions to the success of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention on Climate Change (COP28), which was hosted by the UAE late last year.
His Excellency Mahsh Saeed Al Hameli, the UAE Ambassador to the Republic of South Africa, handed over the medal to Her Excellency, as she expressed her deep thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, for this honor, and also praised the “historic UAE agreement.” “which was reached at COP28, and has become a basic reference framework for climate action and global sustainability.
For his part, His Excellency congratulated Her Excellency on this medal, praising the participation of the Republic of South Africa in the “COP28” conference, and its support for the historic UAE agreement, which enhances cooperation and collective work, to preserve humanity and planet Earth.
