An Emirati aid ship departs for Lebanon with a capacity of 3,000 tons

Abu Dhabi, December 20 / WAM / The second Emirati relief aid ship left the port of Jebel Ali in the UAE, heading to the port of Beirut, with a load of up to 3,000 tons of various relief materials as part of the “The UAE is with you, Lebanon” community campaign, which was launched at the beginning of last October. .

The UAE continues its various relief aid by air and sea in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the State, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Presidential Office, and the supervision of His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office for Development Affairs and Families of Martyrs, Chairman of the International Humanitarian Affairs Council, where the aid included Emirati Relief provides various types of food, special supplies for children and women, and various equipment for the winter.

His Excellency Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Development Affairs and International Organizations and Member of the International Humanitarian Affairs Council, stressed that the UAE will continue its pioneering global relief role in keeping with the humanitarian legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, towards man’s standing with his fellow man. In every place and time, which is evident in what the UAE offers to all humanity alike, and with the great interest of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President The state, may God protect him, and His Highness’s keenness to provide all relief materials and shelter supplies to those affected by the brotherly Lebanese people in light of the current difficult and critical circumstances that the region is going through.

His Excellency pointed out that the Emirati relief aid ship is the second that carries various relief materials from Emirati donors, humanitarian institutions and charities, noting that it is expected to arrive at the port of Beirut at the end of this month.
