المملكة: Including the Eastern… “Meteorology” explains to “Al-Youm” the weather forecast for the week

This week, the Kingdom is witnessing a state of air stability in most regions, with varying effects of northern winds affecting some eastern and northern regions, accompanied by a drop in temperatures in large parts of the country.
Weather analyst at the National Center of Meteorology, Aqeel Al-Aqeel, explained, “The weather in the eastern region is characterized by active northern winds, whose speed sometimes reaches between 25-30 kilometers per hour, which increases the feeling of cold temperatures.

These winds also contribute to rising waves on the coasts of the Arabian Gulf and stirring up dirt and dust, which leads to a decrease in horizontal visibility, especially in the Al-Ahsa region and on the roads linking Riyadh and the Eastern Province.
This wind activity is expected to continue until the end of the week, with a noticeable increase during Sunday and Monday, especially in the afternoon hours.”
Al-Aqeel added: “As for the northern regions of the Kingdom, they are witnessing stable and cool weather with temperatures ranging between zero degrees Celsius and 4 degrees Celsius, in areas such as Tabuk, Hail, the northern border, and the northern Medina region, starting tomorrow, Sunday.”

He also indicated an expected weather condition on Monday and Tuesday, starting from the western coasts and affecting parts of the central region, with increasing clouds and the possibility of light rain.
The weather analyst recommended constantly monitoring the reports of the National Center of Meteorology, and exercising caution on roads affected by winds that stir up dirt and dust.
The National Center of Meteorology had previously announced the expected weather conditions for Saturday in the Kingdom, indicating the return of low temperatures in the regions of Tabuk, Al-Jawf, the northern border, Hail and Al-Qassim.

He stated that the drop in temperatures is accompanied by activity in surface winds that raise dust and dust in the Riyadh and Sharqiya regions, and the state of decline and winds extends to parts of the Najran region as well as to parts of the Makkah Al-Mukarramah and Medina regions.
He also indicated that the sky will be partly cloudy to cloudy with a chance of light rain and fog in parts of the Jazan, Asir and Al-Baha regions.
Yesterday, Friday, the city of Khamis Mushait recorded the lowest temperatures in the Kingdom, reaching 4 degrees Celsius.
