The Egyptian Federation celebrates World Basketball Day
The Egyptian Basketball Federation, headed by Amr Moselhy, organized a special celebration for World Basketball Day, in cooperation with the NBA office in Cairo, at the Zohour Club today, Saturday.
< p>The celebration was attended by Amr Moselhi, President of the Egyptian Basketball Federation, Mohamed El-Demerdash, President of Al-Zohour Club, and members of the Board of Directors of the Basketball Federation, led by Mr. Mohamed Fathi, Ayman Ali, Mohamed Ihab Mohsen, and Naira Anwar, who organized the celebration, along with Mahmoud Al-Helou. The Executive Director of the Federation, and Yasmine Helal, Director of Planning and Basketball Operations at NBA Egypt.
The celebration witnessed the presence of young and emerging Egyptian basketball talents, where technical lectures were held for them by NBA coaches, in addition to honoring Egyptian basketball icons and the El-Zohour Club.
The Egyptian Basketball Federation officials honored many of the game’s icons, most notably Abdel Hamid. Masoud, president of the federation African basketball for life, Sayed Suleiman Salwa, former Al-Ahly club and Egyptian national team player, Fathi Kamel, former Egyptian national team star, Nevin Akl, former Egyptian national team star, Salah El-Din Abdel Wahab, the oldest Egyptian basketball coach, Khaled Hussein, head of the basketball staff at Al-Zohour Sports Club.  ;
Amr Moselhi, President of the Basketball Association, said that he was happy to hold this celebration, and in the presence of the symbols and stars of the game and the great cooperation. With NBA Egypt, praising the great role played by the NBA office in Cairo in developing the game.
Moselhi assured the basketball youth participating in the celebration that they must be an example. He is a role model in sports, and they are the future of Egyptian basketball, and all possible support will be provided to them in order to develop their technical levels, in order for them to represent Egypt in a way that befits Egyptian basketball and sports in all forums. Naira Anwar stressed that this celebration It serves as a starting point for the development of Egyptian basketball and that all members of the Board of Directors of the Basketball Association, their first desire is to increase the spread of the game and increase the base of its practitioners, stressing that the young men and women present today gave everyone hope for a strong start for the Board of Directors of the Basketball Association.
