Today, the Saudi Red Crescent Authority in Al Bahah region, in cooperation with the education department in the region, launched the “School Paramedic” program within the “integration” project between the Ministries of Health and Education. The authority explained that the program aims to enable male and female teachers to acquire basic first aid skills, which contributes to improving School community response to emergencies and increased life-saving opportunities.
She stated that the first phase of the program aims to train 37,440 teachers in 13 regions across the Kingdom, including 2,880 teachers in the Al-Baha region. The training will be implemented in three training units affiliated with the Authority in the Al-Baha region and its affiliated governorates, where the program will continue for three months.
It is noteworthy that the training courses include how to deal with emergency situations such as heart attacks, airway obstruction, and bleeding, which contributes to enhancing the ability of male and female teachers to act quickly and effectively in critical moments.
