109 airlines at Dubai and Al Maktoum International Airports

Data from Dubai Airports Corporation showed that the number of air carriers operating their flights at Dubai International and Al Maktoum International Airports reached 109 airlines operating their flights to 246 international destinations in 103 countries.

According to the data, a copy of which was obtained by Emirates Today, the number of airlines at Dubai International Airport reached 93 air carriers, and at Al Maktoum International Airport to 16 companies.

Dubai International Airport continued to achieve strong gains, compared to its counterparts from other air transport hubs, as the scheduled seat capacity on international flights at the airport – which is the largest air transport hub in the world – exceeded the barrier of five million seats (10 million seats in both directions) for eight months. During the year 2024, setting a record that is the highest ever, according to OAG, the international organization that provides data for airports and airlines.

Dubai Airport achieved a strong performance in the third quarter of this year, receiving 23.7 million passengers. The third quarter also witnessed a growth in the number of flights, exceeding 111.3 thousand flights, bringing the total number of flights during the first nine months of this year to 327.7 thousand flights. With an increase of 6.4% on an annual basis, Dubai International maintained its position as the largest airport in the world, in terms of the number of international passengers, for the 10th consecutive year during the year. 2023, as it consolidated its gains last year to rise to second place globally, in the total number of international and local travelers combined in 2023, for the first time in its history.
