The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure announced the signing of an agreement with Packet Carbon, which aims to implement and develop a pilot project to expand the uses of electric bicycles, as well as prepare a study to explore the prospects for expanding the partnership in the future, in line with the national trends of the UAE towards shifting to green and sustainable mobility. .

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure for Energy and Petroleum Affairs, Eng. Sharif Al Olama, stressed that “the agreement is an important step in the process of achieving sustainable mobility, reducing the carbon footprint in the transportation sector, and promoting the transition to environmentally friendly means of transportation, in line with the directives of the wise leadership and the UAE’s vision to achieve climate neutrality by The year 2050. For his part, CEO of Pakt Carbon, Oleg Baltin, said that signing the agreement is an important step in finding effective solutions for the transition towards green mobility, and the company will work to intensify all its efforts to ensure the success of the pilot project.
